Downs Presbytery Minister appointed to commence in 2026
The Joint Nominating Committee has appointed Rev Russell Reynoldson to the Presbytery Minister role for The Downs. Rev Reynoldson commences 15th January 2026‬. He has been in ministry some 45 years - 22 years as a youth worker and 25 years as an ordained minister. He has diverse ministry experience in rural and urban congregations in Queensland and New South Wales. There is much to do as the whole Synod reconsiders Presbytery Capacity during the next two years.

Chair of Pastoral Relations Committee (PRC)
Rev Tanya Richards has served as PRC Chair throughout 2025. Rev Richards has worked as the Presbytery's representative on the Advisory Committee for Ministerial Placements (Placements) and Presbytery Synod Interface (PSI) and will do so until the end of 2025.  Rev Richards has also served as the Connect 100+ Community Chaplain based at Lifeworks Uniting Church.

UPDATE:  Tanya has accepted a position as Bush Chaplain for Frontier Services and commences on 15th January 2026. Congratulations Tanya! We can't thank you enough for all you have done and we're glad to still be able to work with you in our region. We also thank Ps Graham Huth and all of the Presbytery Ministers who have assisted the Downs during the last twelve months.
